New Platinum partner: Infocom Corporation
2008-06-19, The DCMI Directorate is pleased to announce that Infocom Corporation, the Japanese company that develops InfoLib, an integrated multimedia search system that is based on the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set, has become a Platinum Partner in the DCMI Partnership Program.
2008-06-09, After almost five years of service, Robina Clayphan of the British Library has stepped down as moderator of the DCMI Libraries Community. The DCMI Directorate is pleased to announce that Christine Frodl of the German National Library and Stefanie Rühle of the State and University Library Göttingen have agreed to co-moderate the group. We want to thank Robina for all the work she has done over the years and wish Christine and Stefanie success in their new role.
DCMI Registry Task Group: call for participation
2008-06-09, A DCMI Registry Task Group has been set up with the primary aims of developing shared functional requirements and inter-registry interoperability issues. This group is currently recruiting participants. Those with an interest in metadata schema registries, terminology registries, ontology registries and metadata vocabulary management are invited to visit the Task Group's Wiki for further information, news, upcoming events and opportunities to contribute.
